Vintage Ethnic Poncho or Skate Cape!

My sister Sarah came and visited for a week and she had some fun with this vintage cape.
The bright colors and the diamond designs make this poncho fun and unique!
I will be re-posting it soon so check out the shop! It is listed for $22, but you can use the coupon code VINTAGELOVE to get 15% off on any item!

Do It With Superb Style

I came across these pictures while browsing different skater girl websites. I love her skate get-up. There are more pictures found at HERE. Shakeyourboard.blogspot.com. I believe these were taken by Czajka & Regulski Photography

Vintage Fashion Show

When I lived in Hawaii my friend Jackie and I put together a Vintage Fashion Show using clothing I had collected and dresses that she had designed. I want to do another one, but until then..here are some pictures for inspiration. We were lucky to have Mark Lee there to take some rad pictures. I loved it because of the whole vintage fashion/skateboarding idea.

Skating Groovy

pic by Jimmy

My sister Melanie, my real good friend Jennifer and I have a dream of starting a skate magazine called "Apples and Oranges". The name is derived from Jennifer's nickname that locals gave her at the park because of her apple green vans. Since we were inseparable skate buddies I became "oranges". Our goal is to promote skateboarding in a fashionable and artistic way, focusing more on the fun of the hobby rather than the technicalities and tricks in an effort to empower females of all ages to get out there and enjoy skateboarding.

We all have a passion for dressing up, ravaging through vintage finds, and skateboarding. Put them all together and you have a couple girls skating in rad vintage clothing! We encourage guys to do so as well. So much fun!

I recently started selling clothing on Etsy so this blog is a venue to showcase some of my vintage finds, as well as a place to store pictures that may very well be used for our future magazine. Enjoy!!!!
